Kat devotes her energy as an artist to creating atmospheric watercolors and original studio jewelry. Painting and metalsmithing are each joyful to her, working with the fascinating fluidity in each process: water and pigments, fire and silver.

She has shown award-winning artwork in juried shows with VA Watercolor Society, WVA Watercolor Society, MD Federation of Art, Rehoboth Art League, Arlington Artists Alliance, Mansion at Strathmore, Ann Marie Art Center and others. Kat has a BFA from MICA (The Maryland Institute College of Art), postgrad studies in design, and a lengthy career in creative communications for national and multi-national NGOs.
