Watercolor is my passion and media of choice. When working with watercolor I believe that while an artist can shape a painting it is still important to let the water work wonders. I add highlights using values, color tones, and shapes while sometimes adding ink. I also enjoy the colors and soothing effect that can be captured by a subtle introduction and occasional use of pastels. When developing the composition, I am an advocate of the "Golden Ratio." This technique has long been used in art to make composition and design decisions that are aesthetically pleasing. I enjoy learning and trying new techniques and approaches. I'm usually drawn to architecture, historical ruins, figures, landscapes and water features. Painting allows me to express my feelings and connections with people and places.
