Stacy photographs anything and everything that might one day inspire a painting. As of July, her iPhone held 109,304 photos—evidence of a restless curiosity and an inability to stick with one subject for very long.
Once she selects an image to paint, the creative process becomes almost scientific. For Stacy, each painting is a series of small visual puzzles that require solving. She knows a piece is complete when every one of those puzzles has found its solution.
