Featured Artist of the Month

I am fascinated with water, both as a painting medium and as a painting subject. Many of my paintings depict water-based scenes—snow, the ocean, coral reefs, fish, sea creatures—but I also enjoy painting everyday objects, landscapes, florals, and birds. Recently, I have been experimenting with more nontraditional approaches, techniques, and materials in my work, and painting on experimental papers with a mixture of watercolor products (for example nonporous or colored papers and powdered, metallic, or granulating watercolors). I see myself as a lifelong learner and I am always looking for new things to try.
